FAQs

Here we answer the most frequently asked questions about our bending processes and manufacturing methods.

If you still have any questions, contact us.

Aluminum bending is the industrial technique that consists of subjecting different types of profiles to a controlled deformation process, which avoids excessive tension on the stretched and compressed surfaces of the profile. The most common aluminum bending method is the cold process, which uses a set of three hydraulically controlled rollers or forming cylinders. For each type of profile and dimension, a specific set of rollers or jaws must be used to ensure proper fit.

Mabelux uses custom-designed and in-house manufactured bending machinery for all its bending projects, whether aluminum or steel profiles. The continuous innovation carried out by our engineers allows us to bend very small radii and all types of profiles — in many cases, even pre-lacquered ones. The bending machine can operate in manual, automatic, and semi-automatic modes.

You can send us an email with the profiles you want to bend, the dimensions, technical information, and the service level you would like us to quote (Basic, Optima, Complet). If our technical office has any questions, they will contact you in your language. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

The minimum bending radius of an aluminum profile depends on the section and dimensions of that profile. Thanks to our machinery, we can achieve incredibly tight radii. If you want to know the bending possibilities, just send us the sections of the profiles you want to bend and the dimensions of the piece.

Mabelux is also specialized in bending profiled steel for manufacturing arched windows, segmental steel bending, semicircular steel bending… We can bend all brands on the market: Forsters, Jansen… Send us your steel bending inquiry and we’ll take care of it.

Mabelux bends steel profiles from all brands on the market. We specialize in bending Jansen, Forsters… but any brand can be bent. For more information, visit our “Steel Bending” section.

Yes, all thermal break aluminum profiles can be bent. In fact, this is one of Mabelux’s main areas of expertise, and we have bent aluminum profiles with 100 mm thermal breaks.

At Mabelux, we can bend aluminum profiles up to 500 mm wide and 200 mm high with tenth-of-a-millimeter precision.

Absolutely. At Mabelux we have 3,000 sets of tools, which allow us to bend around 10,000 different aluminum profile references. Moreover, we collaborate with the top brands on the market to bend their profiles (Technal, Schüco, Reynaers, Itesal, Cortizo, Wicona…)

Yes, the machinery designed by Mabelux can bend pre-lacquered profiles and wood-effect aluminum without damaging the lacquer. And all this with very tight bending radii.

There is a wide range of options for curtain wall bending: concave, convex, for flat glass… We have a Technical Office and fully equipped machinery to bend curtain wall profiles. In addition, we offer the possibility of combining it with other processes such as welding, polishing, lacquering… Tell us about your specific project.

Mabelux has high-precision machinery that allows aluminum profiles to be handled without deformation. Our engineering team has designed the bending machines to work on the profiles with great delicacy so they maintain both their geometry and visible surfaces intact.

There is no problem manufacturing a pivoting porthole window that allows ventilation and is easy to clean. Let us know which series you like, and we will curve the aluminum profiles for you.

Yes. It is possible to manufacture an oval aluminum porthole window. As always, the minimum radius required to bend the aluminum profile will need to be considered.

Yes! We can manufacture porthole windows with French-style opening using the series you prefer. We can also include concealed sashes, trim covers, insulation profiles…

Mabelux can manufacture any type of curved window. The possibilities of bending aluminum and profiled steel are endless. It is possible to bend aluminum and profiled steel in shapes like segmental arch, semicircle, carpanel… but also in other special custom shapes.

Mabelux can handle full or partial transport management if desired. In our “Services” section, you can find all our areas of activity.

Mabelux offers a strictly bending service, a bending and manufacturing service, and finally, a bending and manufacturing service including the supply of materials. Additionally, if our production schedule allows it, and for an additional fee, we also offer an express manufacturing service for urgent projects, as well as transport, consulting, and technical training services in bending and assembly.

A significant portion of Mabelux’s main clients are companies from different European countries. Mabelux has participated in projects carried out on all five continents. We have an Export department, and our vision is to become a global company. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
